Rowlands Castle Scarecrow Trail 2020
Scarecrow Trail update! We aren’t promoting it this year to those who live outside of Rowlands Castle so to keep numbers down and endeavour to keep the village safer for residents, especially in light in the new National Restrictions currently in place.For those doing the trail, please read & adhere to the Guidelines.Thank you
The Rowlands Castle Scarecrow Trail is a community event, this year brought to you by the St John’s Primary School PTA. It aims to bring villagers & local businesses together for some fun & some fundraising that will put a smile on everyone’s face!
Everyone has a film they have loved to watch, with a character, they just never forget. This may be a family favourite to watch with the children or a childhood memory. It could be a Harry Potter character or “Shrek”, maybe a character from an earlier decade, “Grease” or “Alice in Wonderland” or perhaps a superhero. The ideas are endless and you need to start planning now as it is only a few weeks away.
Don’t be concerned that the scarecrows need to be works of arts – they don’t – it is just about having fun. Feedback from trail followers who have done this in other villages is that they thoroughly enjoyed walking around the village and looking at all the scarecrows!
Open between 9am – 4pm each day of the trail

It’s £10 to enter a scarecrow and prizes of £100 to be won in 3 Scarecrow categories and a Trail Competition!

– Funniest Scarecrow
All proceeds to go towards St John’s School PTA
To Enter
- Please email scarecrows@stjohnspta.com your chosen ‘Film Character’
- We shall reply with payment/entry form instructions. We shall then reserve your character for 2 days as there are no duplicate characters allowed.
- Completed scarecrow entry forms and payment (£10) must be completed within 2 days to confirm your chosen character.
- Confirmation of your entry will be emailed to you.
- Deadline for Scarecrow entries is Monday 26th October 2020
