Scarecrow Trail Total Donation Revealed!

As the Rowlands Castle Scarecrow Trail has now finished, we thought you would like to know the total amount raised! Before we do, we would like to say thank you to a few.

Firstly, to our magnificent scarecrow makers, the trail would obviously be nothing without you! We’ve had lots of comments saying how creative and wonderful they’ve all been. Also, many people have commented how hard it was choosing their favourites. That certainly showed as the votes cast were over a huge spread of the scarecrows.
Secondly, to our community partners that sponsored the trail along with the prizes. In the times we’re living in, it was extremely generous of them all to donate what they could. I hope it increased awareness of the businesses to the local community, it’s great seeing villagers and businesses supporting each other.

Thirdly, to everyone that did the trail and donated It was you that made the buzz around the village. Seeing families, couples & friends etc, out creating memories, with plenty of smiles & chatter, getting some fresh air (& a bit wet at times!), yet in a safe manner, was fantastic to see.
Lastly, to everyone else that chipped in to make it happen, whether it was drawing, printing, delivering and selling the trail maps, website, popping posters up and anything in between!

“What an inspirational idea….you have enabled all generations to come together, smile and enjoy the outdoors within pandemic safe parameters whilst raising money… genius!! Fantastic effort the children, map purchasing trail burners and the PTA for organising and bringing to life well done 👏👏 👏  and thank you.”
